| To Ex. Copy to Mr. [redacted] Mr. [redacted] Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x304 E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}5/MN.14.10.36. 38-EX, Enclosed Limousine. We thank you for your letter Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}12/KW.12.10.36, and the attached letter from Messrs. Park Ward & Co. to yourselves, which we are returning herewith. Immediately prior to receiving your memo, we had written to Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} on the subject of the finishing instructions for this car and attach herewith a copy of our E/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/MN.14.10.36. With respect to the trimming you will see that we would like to have leather for the seats both front and rear, in preference to the black leather for the front seat and cloth for the rear. Cloth is bad for experimental cars as it gets very dirty, and black leather makes the car look chauffeur driven. We have therefore suggested brown leather throughout. We note that three weeks may be required to obtain this leather, but we think that if this were ordered at once there would be time to obtain it as Park Wards have not completed the panelling of the body, and in the meantime they can go on with the painting and other trimming as well as the wings and running boards. We have asked them to complete this car even to finish painting prior to the receipt of the chassis as it is necessary that the chassis should remain at their Works for the minimum period of time.
