(3) Air temperature. Radiator Temperature. Remarks. CONT: 2. 32º c. 83º c. As above. with bonnet shutters open. (Rear shutters only fitted. 3. 10º c. 93º c. 3rd gear. full throttl climbing pass in Dolomites. Bonnet shutters closed. 4. 23.5º c. 88º c. Approx. full throttle. Bonnet Shutters closed. It is possible that the radiator is partially choked up with flies etc. This is not at all easy to clean as it will be seen that test No. 4. shows much worse result than test No. 1. under approximately similar conditions of running. The later test was 14 days after the earlier one. 14. There is one tappet which is persistently noisy during the period when the engine is becoming thoroughly warmed up. It is quite quiet when the engine is hot. 15. During the last day or so the steering has apparently become considerably stiffer. Throughout the greater part of the run it has been very satisfactory - possibly the friction loading of the cross steering tube has increased. 16. The trip record of the speedometer has never operated. This should be made to work. The car has been sent to Derby this afternoon, the 24th of September and I shall be speaking to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} on the telephone regarding it very shortly. Will you please arrange to do everything possible to make these points right and to return the car to us by Monday morning the 1st October. CWB. CWD | ||
