OIL LOSS FROM GEARBOX.

We have just run a gearbox at high speeds on the dynamometer for eight hours and lost no oil atall. In view of this and your experience on 2.Per.II, we should like you to run a test with the modified clutch housing ventilation eliminated to give 2.Per.II conditions. Even if this causes leaks from No.8 bearing, it is worth doing to find the cause of the gearbox trouble.
