TORQUE REACTION DAMPERS.

I am sending you each herewith some parts of a damper we have taken from a 40/50HP Chassis.

We had occasion to move this from a chassis and when doing so we found it was almost immovable. On separating it we found it in the condition which you will see for yourselves.

You will probably remember that we had similar trouble due to some substance exuding from the fabric on Silver Ghost clutches, and I believe we used to get rid of it by thoroughly soaking the clutch in paraffin for several hours after the fabric had been fitted to the cone.

Will you please return the parts to me as they belong to chassis on test.
