DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} } FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} } (At Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.) BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} } SECRET R3/M23.1.29. REC'D AT WW. 28.1.29. ORIGINAL C. to BJ. WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}- SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} F- CARS - SPRING (ROAD) LUBRICATION. X7410 X5410 X3806 Mr. Day gives us a suggestion for carrying the centralised oiling from the shackle pin in between the plates. I think this is an excellent idea and should be patented if possible at once. Mr. Day will say what names should be included in the patent - i.e. if anyone has helped him. Figs. 3. and 4. seem the best, and it would be commercially a good policy to do it thoroughly. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
