My dear Sir

On 28 Nov. last I wrote to you about a continued test of some high grade patented motor spirit.
I was told you were in America, possibly you are back now, so I venture to repeat the enquiry & whether you would kindly test it for me as you did before, but this time with a larger quantity so as to allow a prolonged test on a small engine. (for cleanliness &c as well as other things).

Yours faithfully
Oliver Lodge

The stuff is at the University Birmingham. I shall have to furnish particulars to enable you to get it, if it is sometimes held up.
