Dear Sirs,

We beg to acknowledge receipt of your order CY.354 of yesterday, for 2 dozen Lodge Steatite Plugs, and we are to day despatching to you this quantity of our model Z22.

This plug has a steatite insulator of our own manufacture. This insulator is the result of a number of years of continuous research work. From the results of our own tests we venture to think that you will be pleased with this sparking plug, and we shall await your report with interest.

We shall not be putting this plug on the market for some time as we are not in a position to make it in very large quantities at present, but should you decide to adopt this pattern we have no doubt that we could satisfy your demands.

Even when the plug is made in large quantities it will unavoidably be more expensive than what we are at present supplying, owing to the cost of manufacture of the special insulator. In the limited numbers we are now making this plug, the cost is of course very high, but if you decide to adopt this pattern on all your engines we should be prepared to quote you the price of 2/6d each.

At your service.

Yours faithfully,

LODGE PLUGS LIMITED,
(signed) AMT.
Director.
