P 81 S. SMITH & SONS (Motor Accessories) LTD. CRICKLEWOOD WORKS, LONDON, N.W.2. CONTINUATION NO. 1 As you know, I have had this particular type of clock on my Bentleys with entirely satisfactory results. Admittedly they have been of Swiss manufacture - the clocks you have are made here. I am having the matter carefully investigated at once. Am delighted to learn that your good folk have arranged to go ahead with car work, which is just as it should be. I am sorry that Mr.Arrowsmith was unable to see you during his visit. He reports that he saw Mr.Childs and had a conversation with that gentleman concerning your clock. Whilst you informed me that it was losing, Mr. Childs mentioned that the error was a gaining one. In any case Mr.Arrowsmith left two sample clocks which he took along, and Mr.Childs has kindly promised to return the old ones to enable the matter to be looked into. Would you like Mr.Arrowsmith to visit you again? Sincerely yours, Charles Wriemolo Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited. 5.2.40 | ||
