Re. Tappet Spanner.

With further reference to this
matter, this is to confirm my consultation
with you re. the above, to the effect
that I think the spanner I handed to you
is an improvement on the one which is now
being proposed for standardisation, which
I am now not so pleased with as I was
at first.

The sample I handed to you is of
&
course, only a roughly made type/one
which could be improved as regards light-
ness, etc. This new spanner has been
brought to my attention by the engine gear
quietener working in the Test Dept.

I should be glad, therefore, if you
could put this matter forward again to be
considered for standardisation in
preference to the one referred to.
