RE VALVE TAPPET SPANNER. X/119

I have received Mr Dalley's memo E/PHD7/G2514 showing the proposed improved valve tappet spanner which holds itself in position during the adjustment of the tappet. I had this question in mind myself and thought that a spanner as shown in the marginal sketch would be better than the first one we had made.

Will Mr Dalley kindly have a detail prepared of this spanner, in addition to the one that he is making with the long slot, so that we shall be able to compare their proportions.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
