We acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 8th. inst. together with your sketch on the subject of screen leaks. We are pleased to confirm that in view of your recent observations we shall arrange for drain holes [handwritten addition: tubes] to be fitted on all your cars in future. As however, schemes "C" and "D" would necessitate the incorporation of special screen channelling, we propose to adopt scheme "B" which modification we feel sure would be sufficient to overcome the troubles you have experienced in this connection.
