S/W...FOR. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Re BENTLEY. We were able to arrange yesterday for Mr.Pass, Mr.Barclay, Mr.Munro and Mr.Manning to try the Bentley car. They were all delighted with its performance. Mr.Barclay was particularly enthusiastic and said he thought it was the most wonderful little motorcar he had ever been on. Both he and Mr.Pass appreciated something that has never been done before, namely to give real speed without noise. I am enclosing herewith copy of letter received from Mr.Pass today, criticising a few points, which perhaps you might like to consider and let me have your views upon. I have also asked the others to let me have their comments. So far as I can gather in conversation, their views are more or less the same. I was very glad to receive these views, confirming our own impression of the beauties of this car. C. | ||
