COPY Pass & Joyce Ltd., 373-375, Euston Road, London. N.W.1. 1st September 1933. W.Cowen, Esq., Messrs.Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd., 14-15 Conduit Street, W.1. Dear Mr.Cowen, I would like to say how much I appreciate your action yesterday in giving me an opportunity of a run on the new BENTLEY car. This was extremely interesting and it would be very difficult to make any adverse comments on the performance of the chassis on the road. With all due deference I would like to make the following remarks:- BRAKES. Although extremely efficient they do not "look" large enough. EXHAUST CUT-OUT. When open this gives a very 'tinny' note and should be much deeper. (This appeals to a lot of clients who buy this type of car.) THE INSTRUMENTS. The instrument board as set out at the moment, does not look worthy of the car and I think the middle panel, especially, should be made, if possible, more "de luxe." RADIATOR. I would like to suggest (if this is not too drastic) that it should be at least 2" narrower and the shutters should be a real quality job. STEERING WHEEL. This seems just right as far as the size, etc., is concerned, but would it be possible in some way to make this look more "de luxe"? May I take this opportunity of wishing you every possible success when the car is placed on the market. ppn | ||
