RE. R-R.{Sir Henry Royce} DYNAMO FOR 40/50.

I notice that the error I pointed out was merely a clerical one and does not affect your conclusions.
[handwritten: not (?)]

I do think however that you will find that the yoke is of insufficient section magnetically, partly because the estimate for the leakage factor is only an estimate, and also that part of the [strikethrough: extra] lines of force do not pass through the yoke or at least through the entire length of the yoke. I believe therefore you will find the dimensions quite satisfactory. At the same time I have no objection to a slightly increased section of the yoke providing it can be done without seriously altering the drawings. It would however add weight to the finished dynamo but it would be a slight advantage to have the carcase with the slightly increased rigidity. I leave it to you to arrange as most convenient but I do wish us to get on promptly with the work.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
