R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159. 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2500 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM R? C: to CJ. BJ. C: to PN.{Mr Northey} OY. C: to BI. EX. C: to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} [STAMP: ORIGINAL] [STAMP: RECEIVED HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} JAN 12 1923] RE. LOUVRES. [Handwritten: X4240 / X274 Y3499] The louvres in the front of the Goshawk as made and arranged by us appear singularly effective. They seem more effective in keeping the air warm under the bonnet when standing, than the rug thrown over the radiator. We should push on with getting the vertical ones fitted on the 40/50 as standard. You will remember that we have these both hand and thermostat operated, and that both appear satisfactory, but personally I prefer the thermostat ones. We cannot remove the bolt heads objected to by Sales. They are very neatly arranged. We fore-saw the objections but cannot give a satisfactory construction that is neater. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
