X5003 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}17/KW.27.9.34. 20/25 HP, Flexible Engine Mounting. We are sending 20-G-IV into the fitting shop for the clutch pedal shaft link to N.Sch.4181 to be fitted, and at the same time we should like you to fit the present standard 20/25 HP. front engine mounting anchorage to the 5th cross member, details of which are shown on drawing F.60150, in addition to the existing flexible mounting. If possible this anchorage should be fitted so that we can take same off the cross member easily, and thus be able to test the car on the road, with and without this additional mounting. As we have already instructed for three other modifications to be carried out on this car, i.e. :- LEC.4098 Strengthened type bracket for air silencer. LEC.4099 Strengthened exhaust manifold. LEC.4085 Modified-suction pipe to autovac we should like these fitting whilst the car is in the shop. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.H.Whyman. | ||
