SECRET. E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/MN.1.3.37. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Copy to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} F/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} 1166 Wraith II Jacks. Part of the programme for cheapening and redesigning Wraith II to make it into Wraith III is to do something about the jacking system. We understand that provisionally it has been decided to fit Jackall jacks, and we have been awaiting particulars of these for which we understand you have written to Mr.Nichols. Could you possibly let us know something very soon as we are held up for the information. We would like particulars of the rams for the rear, and particulars of the rams for the front mounted on the frame. At the moment we have no scheme for mounting single lift rams on the wishbone, but we would like particulars of the single lift jack of Jackall manufacture for this purpose if it could be obtained. With respect to the pump and the tank on the dash, we presume these will have to be Jackall also, and that the pump will have the single control for the valves. We would also like to know whether Jackalls supply a standard trap door for the floorboards such as do Messrs. Sessions. In the meantime Messrs.Sessions are going over the design of their jacks, fitting and fittings pump and tank with a view to reducing the cost which they anticipate they can do. | ||
