HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ) FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ) C. to BG. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} 27-EX. R6/B/28.10.31. T XII x 7120. 1527 We think that since the acceleration is so good the back axle can be 10% higher. When at 90 MPH. you should gain 8HP. This would give better maximum speed, although it may not lap higher. It would reduce oil and petrol consumption, and save engine wear and stress, until balance weights can be fitted.
