HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ) FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ) C. to S.. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} D.. EXHAUST SILENCERS - P. 2. & 'U' SERIES 25HP. R5/M/20.10.31. X7220 X5220 We agree that P. 2. short silencer should be used, but we think this can be made equally good by spot welding instead of riveting, so saving much in labour cost. P. 2. must have a silencer, probably 8" dia., that will not absorb so much of the BHP. at full speed of 3000 RPM. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is sending a drawing. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
