contd :- -2- 104 Re. fitting the baffle plate - to do this it is necessary to dismantle the whole of the servo, then the shaft can be withdrawn. There are no nuts to undo inside the gearbox, but care must be taken of adjusting washers on the shaft when pulling out; the gear wheel and bushes can be lifted out. We want this job doing before anything else, as the car will be required in about two weeks to meet us either in Paris, or where we shall arrange. It is intended that you shall bring the car and after handing it over, proceed on your way home. We will let you have details later. A new set of tyres have been ordered from Paris for the car. Will you get these fitted as soon as they arrive. Pressure - 35 lbs. all round. Please let us know how the job stands. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.W.Hancock. | ||
