1023 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les2/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 20th January, 1938. Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, BIRMINGHAM. 1. (For the attention of Mr. R.P. Turner.) Dear Sirs, I have been quite astounded to hear from Mr. Rhodes that he cannot supply any prices until next Tuesday. I have tried to 'phone Mr. Breeden but, unfortunately, he was out. I do hope the first sample bumper stabiliser is not in the same condition of delay. Our car is, apparently, leaving for the Continent at the end of this week for certain. Although it is possible to send the bumper out to the car, it would be far more satisfactory for the bumper to be on at the beginning of the test. I should be grateful if you could let me have a promise date for this bumper, but not the first date that comes into somebody's head. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
