X8300 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} at Mx {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} 's House. Mx {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} 16/T16.5.28 RE SLIPPER FLYWHEELS - PHANTOM With reference to memo Mx {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} 1/T24.2.28, 24 Slipper Flywheels, at reduced poundage, using 20HP Springs have been tested, and found satisfactory. With reference to the new spring E77363, which has been ordered to commence on "G" Series, and gives the new poundage with 3/4 of a turn back on the bolt, we have tested out a number of these from our advance supply of one gross, and find them quite satisfactory, we therefore recommend the adoption of this spring and loading of 153 inch lbs. immediately, as not only will this be more satisfactory, but will save dismantling and time on test.
