You mentioned the poor mechanical efficiency figures which Taub obtained on your engine when he had it on his test bed.

We cannot concieve any reason why this engine, running at such slow speeds, should have poor mechanical efficiency unless this is due to the power required to drive the rotary valve.

Have you any figures as to the actual M.E.P. required to drive this valve?
