1129 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/ML. 27.3.40. F.M.Aspin,Esq., Experimental Laboratories, Bury, Lancs. Dear Mr. Aspin, Thank you for the interesting time you gave us the other day. We are contemplating sending you a single cylinder unit for conversion but before so doing, we should like the following information : 1. What exactly was the fuel on which the gas engine was running when we saw it the other day? 2. What was the compression ratio and compression pressure? 3. What was the M.E.P. curve down to 375 r.p.m? 4. What was the bore stroke of the engine? We should also like to know : 1. What is the best figure for valve area over piston area that you can obtain on your ports? 2. What are your limitations with regard to valve timing? - Continued - | ||
