| -3- Steering box suspension. The suspension is now as good as when fitted. The reason for steering improving since being fitted up is due, in my opinion, to the thrust race in column settling down. We made sure at the time that there was no slack in this thrust race. It is quite probable that we were on the tight side. Radiator. Radiator shutters are still working satisfactorily. GENERAL EXAMINATION UNDERNEATH THE CAR. The rod brackets, diagonal stays and brackets, rear spring bearings and brackets, equalising shafts and brackets - these are all in a sound condition. We have replaced one step-iron, as previously reportedbroken. On this morning's run (Tuesday 28.4.25.) the dynamow ceased to function. We shall endeavour to find the cause of this tonight. We should be very pleased if Mr. Clark could give us any information re. the cause of this failure. Cutout is O.K. and all connections up to that point appear to be O.K. Battery connections are O.K. We believe that the trouble is inside the dynamo itself. As we are hoping to complete the 10,000 miles on Friday next, would you please say if the car is to return to England, or not. (Sgd.)
