Bentley B.74-HK with engine trouble, finding a broken connecting rod and a cracked crankcase.

This Bentley was towed in from our Agents,Jack Olding Ltd. on the 4.10.37. to K.{Mr Kilner} to rectify engine trouble. The engine was dismantled sufficiently to locate the reported knock. No. 2 connecting rod was found broken, also the piston. The crankcase is cracked. It has been built up for despatch to the Works. This car was at the Works in August for bearing thump.
