1487 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}14/JH. 18th. January, 1939. The S.U. Carburetter Co.Ltd., Adderley Park, Birmingham.8. For the attention of Mr. Skinner. Dear Sirs, As mentioned to you recently when you visited our Works, we are suffering considerable inconvenience lately, in the matter of small orders for special pieces used in conjunction with our experimental work. The latest instance has caused serious delay. We wrote you on 30th. Dec. last in our letter ref. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/JH. asking that two pairs of air valves should be despatched to Paris. They were to be marked for the attention of one of our testers in connection with tests, which happens to be of considerable importance. One pair of air valves have at last arrived at Derby, while our tester is still parked in Paris waiting to do his test. Enclosed is the note which arrived with the air valves. It would help us considerably, if you could get your people to cooperate better in this matter, as we take quite a lot of trouble at this end, to put our requirements plainly on paper. Thanking you for the courtesy extended to the writer and Mr. Swinden on our recent visit. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
