To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 48500 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG27.3.26. RE. STIFFENING BRACKET FOR 40/50 HP. DASHBOARD. X8430 X8500 With reference to the bracket which you suggested we should try when you were at Derby. We have made a temporary bracket and it does undoubtedly improve the rigidity of the steering. We should like you to send us a design for such a bracket. We propose carrying out tests with and without the bracket fitted to shew the increase in rigidity. We should then report upon it and issue a standardisarion sheet. We think in a case like this it is very necessary to issue a standardisation sheet because the bracket is so obvious. It is not like friction in the pivots for instance, which nobody can see or tell it is there. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
