To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X8520 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M25.6.27. PHANTOM - FRONT AXLE CONTROL. X. 8420 X. 8520 We have signed the standardisation sheet as it is believed that the exhaust pipe can be re-arranged so as to get it right out of the way of the shock damper. In the meanwhile R.{Sir Henry Royce} would like you to ascertain what is the effect of using a 12" lever. The principal objection as far as we can see is the increased twist in the part of the front axle between the road springs when one wheel goes up. Could you ascertain experimentally what is the amount of loading on the ball produced by trying to twist the axle in this way? DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
