Dear Mr.Railton,

Thanks for your letter of the 20th. instant. We have, I think got just the lantern slides you require of the 'R' engine, for your lecture on the "Bluebird" at Leeds. I am sending you today twelve (12) lantern slides showing various views of the 'R' engine and various equipment used for the testing of this engine. Some of these slides show the arrangement we employed for getting a forced draught down the carburetter air intake representing the forward speed of the Car or Aeroplane and which resulted in a considerable gain in power. Appended sheet gives a description of some of these slides.
