re. Phantom Chassis Universal Joint - Sphero Lubrication.

Sales Demonstration car, 29-CL, has recently returned from a tour on the Continent, and it was found that the above universal joint was in a bad condition, which the Repair Dept. found due to being short of oil. CWB. reports that this joint was lubricated every 1200 miles, a gun-full of oil being used.

The Repair Dept. also report that this is a general weakness and it has been felt that the point should be brought to your attention for consideration as to whether this joint cannot be made more oil retaining.

The Repair Dept. have suggested that the instructions should be altered from a gun-full every 1,200 miles to a gun-full every 500 miles.

I bring this matter up for your consideration, as I have no doubt it will be brought forward as a complaint by Sales Dept.
