To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x212 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}18/KW.6.2.35. Gear Lever Rattles on the Bentley. Replying to Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}20/HR.4.2.35. Attached is a report that we have recently issued on gear lever rattles. From this you will see that we have found a cure but that this cure has not yet been standardised. This being so, you would probably like to tell Mr. Ballantine that if he will be patient for a little longer we shall be able to offer him a permanent cure for his trouble.
