For the attention of G.H.Grylls, Esq.

20th October, 1938.

Dear Sirs,

Following our letter of the 13th October, the 4, 7.00-17 Fort 'C' type tyres with 4-ply casings are now ready and will be delivered to your works tomorrow.

We have not, after all, been able to make a satisfactory job of branding the covers with the words 4-ply, and we have instead put on the letters 'YR' alongside the serial number.

This combination of letters will not be used for any other purpose, and we trust you may agree that it will provide sufficient distinction.

Yours faithfully,
For DUNLOP RUBBER CO., LTD.
