-2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}17/JH. 30th. June, 1939. If as we fear, the iron turns out to be of low tensile, we would be glad to know if you are able to trace whether or not both came from the same batch of castings, and also whether many others of the same batch have been supplied to us. We cannot visualise any condition prevailing which renders the conditions of the engine test bed any more severe than on the road, in fact, there is always the possibility of higher revs. being attained on the gears, or on a down gradient. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
