CLUTCH PLATE & TRANSMISSION RATTLES.

Please take a standard B. & B. 11" clutch plate ex stock :-

(1) Drill out the rivets which hold the hub together.
(2) Dismantle the hub.
(3) File out all the windows which carry the springs to 1.062 ± 3, measuring along the length of the spring.
(4) Re assemble using ¼ bolts and lock nuts to replace the rivets, and four distance pieces .375 dia. and the same thickness as the existing collars on the rivets.
(5) Fit this plate to 11.B.V.

re American B. & B. plate (Buick Spare Part).

(1) Remove one of the new .437 dia. distance pieces, and in its place fit a steel plate of same thickness, to fit in one of the .750 slots in the hub, so as to lock the spring drive completely solid.
(2) Fit this plate to the Buick.
