To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. c. BY/RD Y7625 EFC2/T9.5.27. SEQUENCE STARTER MOTOR - No.2. SCHEME. As at present arranged this motor will not draw into gear satisfactorily. To attempt to make it do so we require an arrangement of the field windings by which the negative end of the teazer winding, instead of being taken to the main terminal, is connected to the cause of the motor(earth). At the same time we require a tapping brought out from the mid-point of the teazer winding which connection we can experimentally connect to the main terminal of the motor. We judge there is a possibility, by this means of diverting a portion of the armature current, of being able to get the motor to function. The machine is being handed to Mr. Tooby to whom we will give further detailed explanation if necessary. Wile the armature is.out will you kindly let us have it for a resistance measurement. EFC. | ||
