-2- As a matter of opinion, I would say that the Wright Co. are rather optimistic in the curve shown, particularly for air-cooled engines, but in the pencilled-in curve the English engines appear in some respects to make more use of a given Octane number fuel than the American ones, at the upper end of the curve, I mean. I should be very grateful if you could give me any "dope" on this. Incidentally, it is only fair to say that I am asking the Bristol Co. to let me have similar information, because I wish to compare equivalent air-cooled equipment. Yours sincerely, FRBanks.
