Re: Back Axle of Schmidt's 20 HP.
Chassis - No. 41/G/5.

Referring to former correspondence. We attach copy of letter received from Schmidt - and should like to have the considered opinion of the Technical Committee at 'T' on this matter, taking into consideration Schmidt's remarks relative to Temperature conditions existing at the time.

It would be interesting to know whether the nominal heat generated inside the axle, coupled with 12 degrees of frost, would have the effect of making the aluminium casing brittle and liable to fracture.
