X4613 Hx/Skm/A19.8.30. re Phantom II & 20/25HP Chassis - Dashboard Isolation Scheme Confirming our 'phone conversation of this morning - please note that since the receipt of your memo Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}3/G6.8.30, we have been despatching chassis without the dashboard isolation scheme bolts and rubbers etc. being in position. As however, the Coachbuilders are very urgently requiring these rubbers to enable them to get on with the fitting of the body work - see memo EF/Whn13/H13.8.30 - every possible effort should be made to obtain supplies of satisfactory rubbers - we understand they are likely to be available this week. It would appear that supplies of the unsatisfactory hard rubbers have not been stopped at the suppliers, as we are still receiving quantities of these from time to time. We therefore suggested this morning, and you agreed, to all our stock of hard rubbers going back to oft/Mr. Haugh, Inspection Dept. there to be gone through, so that it can be decided which, if any, of these can be used. We have therefore sent all our stock of rubbers back into the Inspection Dept. as arranged, and doubtless you will instruct for them to be dealt with together with others which may be in stock.
