Rolls Royce Limited, Experimental Department, D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, Dr. Mackay despatched sixteen tyres to-day and they were to be sent on this afternoon by road from our Birmingham Depot. The road conditions were, however, such that the lorry from Melksham did not arrive here until rather late owing to a slight mishap on the way. Arrangement have, therefore, been made for the tyres to be put on the 4.30 passenger train, arriving at Derby at 5.29, and this information was telephoned you this afternoon.
