ORIGINAL. To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG13.5.22. FRONT SPRINGS ON GOSHAWK. V4261 We have found on examination that the top leaf on the front N.S. spring on S-Goshawk-11 has cracked right through at the centre bolt hole. This means that both top leaves on the front springs failed on the 10,000 miles test. If you are considering thickening buffers, we should like to emphasize, with present Goshawks, when sprung to give correct cambers, bump much more on to the buffers at the front over bad roads, than the 40/50 H.P. This makes the riding most unpleasant. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
