COPY. 3 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/ML. 15.8.40. The Admiralty, Spa Hotel, B A T H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Dear Sirs, For the attention of Admiral Whyham. We send you herewith a preliminary scheme drawing of the simplified pedestal mounting which we are proposing to put into production for all 40 m/m guns subsequent to the first thirty-five. We are having a sample of this mounting made up for our own edification and this will be available for your representative's inspection in about three weeks time. If this mounting is approved there will be no difficulty about production keeping pace with gun output. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS ROYCE LTD., Dictated by Mr. Robotham, but signed in his absence. | ||
