Dear Sirs,

Re: Bentley 2.B.50.

We thank you for your letter of the 25th.inst.

(1) If it is your normal practice to use butts presumably of brass with stainless steel pins, we agree to this.

(2) You do not give any reason for suggesting the use of Lancegaye glass in the doors and back light, in place of Triplex toughened glass, and therefore it is difficult for us to give an opinion. Our own experience with Lancegaye glass when we used it a few years ago was, that it separated and allowed water to enter, however, we agree to it being tried.

(3) With reference to screen flap when open, we do not suggest that the flap is entirely cured by the central position of the control, but experiments which we have made in Derby have shewn, that coupled with a stronger frame and more rigid hinges, a central control will reduce the amount of flap to a reasonable quantity.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
W Harvey Bailey
CHIEF ENGINEER / CHASSIS.
