I got a very favourable impression of the performance of this car yesterday. It seemed to me to be the liveliest 20/25 that I had driven, and I got the same impression when Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} was driving on the return journey when I was sitting at the back.

I thought the springing was very good provided the hand control of the shock absorbers was judiciously used, and the whole car made one hope that we should shortly be able to demonstrate publicly with such a car and offer them for sale.

I tried to ascertain what kind of springs were fitted to this chassis but those in charge from W. did not know. It is the sort of body that would not call for low rated springs, and yet Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} and I rather got the impression that the springs were low rated because they were very soft on minimum shock absorber control. Whatever the springs were - and it would be interesting to know exactly what type were fitted - they struck me as being a very excellent compromise as arranged on this car.

I would personally severely criticise the heaviness of the steering. To take a sharp bend to the left in a short radius was a herculean task.
