The following new features were fitted to this chassis when it left England on 26.5.34 :- (1) Rubber engine mounting. [Handwritten]: { Two front links { Link from pedal, spring crooked (2) Cantilever pedals. [Handwritten]: Clutch fingers require mod on new clutch (3) Controllable dampers, Low rating springs. [Handwritten]: Standard. (4) R.R. carburetter with throttle edge slow running. [Handwritten]: Not standard (5) Harrison radiator matrix, 56 m.m. thick. [Handwritten]: Not standard works OK (6) Improved exhaust system. Re-positioned flexible mounting. [Handwritten]: Standardised. Heavy front box lagging Less exhaust noise (7) Propellor shaft damper to deal with rattles in the transmission. [Handwritten]: Standard (8) Improved intake silencer. Loc.4043. [Handwritten]: Standard (9) Baffle in bottom half to prevent loss of oil pressure when braking. [Handwritten]: Standard. (10) Semi-split pistons. [Handwritten]: Not Standardised (11) Scheme for preventing valves dropping into the cylinder. [Handwritten]: Standard (12) Flywheel and clutch to M.Sch.3836, 50% increase in area of friction material.
