Description: 25/30 & WRAITH SOFTER FRONT SPRINGS (8 1/2" DEFLECTION) Front Anti-Roll bar. Purpose: To improve to ride by reducing harshness and roll. Brief Report and Remarks: Fitted to 25.G.VI and 29.G.VI. Have done 7,000 miles on 25.G.VI. Will be fitted to 27.G.VI for further mileage tests. These springs and rod have done 70 hours on the bump rig (so far), whereas nearly all rear springs fail at 40-50 hours. When recommended for Introduction: 1st. in 'C' series. Table of Costs: Old Parts: Material £4 5s 7d, Labour £- 12s 4d, Burden £1 7s 5d, Total £5 19s 6d. New Parts: Material £5 5s 3d, Labour £- 12s 11d, Burden £1 2s 7d, Total £7 0s 9d. Increase in Cost £ 1. 1. 3. (GRL 10/1/39) Cost of Tools £ 169.16.0. Production Position and Comments: Softer front spring (8 1/2" deflection) and Front Anti-Roll Bar to improve ride have been instructed for 1st. chassis in 'C' series. There is an increase in Factory cost of £1.1.3d. per chassis and Tool cost of £169.16.0d. is involved. In addition it is necessary to scrap parts surplus to 'A' and 'B' series value £101. RHC.{R. H.
