600 To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/AP.20.4.38 25.G.Vl.{V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} The heater on this car is effective with regard to warming the body, but allows too much noise to be transmitted from the engine to the body, and for this reason is considered to be an impracticable proposition. The engine mounting seems to allow too much engine movement which results in the production of clutch jaggers also change speed lever rattles. A slight servo squeak was noticed. The hand operated choke is very stiff; the engine seems to lack power; the steering joggles and the suspension has inadequate damping in the hard position. The controls rattle in the column. The tyres on this car scream badly on corners. Side-ways shake in the front suspension is exceedingly bad. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
