Westminster,
LONDON, S.W.1.

For attention of C.H. Brooks, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

We are despatching to you to-day 12 of our E.86632 pistons which we should like you to grind to your No.10 cam.

These pistons are exactly similar to the set you ground for us some time ago, but we should like the taper on the skirt increasing by .0005" more than the last set, making the taper now .001" on the diameter.

The dimension at the top of the skirt across the major axis should be 3.247" and at the bottom of the skirt 3.248".

The dia. across the major axis of that portion of the piston immediately below the scraper ring groove and above the heat break sawcut should be 3.240 as for the previous set of pistons you ground.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

P.S. We are by the way in receipt of your Advice Note re the despatch by you of the cracked 3¾" bore piston, but have not yet received the piston in question. Will you please let us know if this has actually been despatched.
