(2) (6) Also the windows vibrate when down. (7) The window of the N.S. door moves very stiffly, and always has done, and it looks as though the velvet has gone wrong. (8) The head joints in several places you will see have come to pieces and have had to be repaired by ourselves. (9) The knob of the window lift handle on the O.S. door has come off. The following are features representing to some extent change in design, for which we suggest you would like to quote us:- (a) We think that some slightly different treatment of the folding portion of the shut pillar would be advantageous as there are signs of chafing on the faces. Could one face be nickel silver and the other fibre, and could there be a locating peg? (b) We would like an extra stick to be added in the hood to avoid the camel back appearance. We have discussed this with Mr. Munday, who is looking at the job on the full size drawing. (c) The rear wings foul the springs slightly and we would be glad if you would get them beaten in a little. (d) You will see that the tyre has fouled the front wing. This no doubt is partially due to the fitting of Dunlop Fort tyres which were not originally catered for. We would be glad if you would turn the mud lip up slightly at this point to increase the clearance. (e) The floorboards appear to scroop due to bad fitting when the body was mounted in Derby. (f) The subframe appears to be rubbing on the top of the gearbox. We would be pleased if you would just investigate this and make the necessary corrections. (g) The head fabric is slack; would you kindly give us a separate quotation for a new fabric in conjunction with the extra stick in the hood so that we can take up with Sales the advisability of making this change. Should we decide not to have a new fabric and the extra stick we suggest that you would like to tension up the fabric. (h) You will naturally wish to polish up the paintwork. (i) The base of the locker in the instrument board becomes resonant at a certain engine speed, and appears to need damping. | ||
