Na{Mr Nadin}/S10/LG22215. With reference to the cylinder lubrication, you might have another consultation in which you can refer to the following notes. Mr Hives does not quite appreciate this scheme in the right light. It is understood that if the throttle is opened only quite a little, while the engine is slow, the vacuum in the induction pipe is so reduced that some oil would, and should be permitted to flow to the cylinders. If the throttle is opened wide, then it would be like the present scheme, the full oil would flow. Now when the throttle is wide open, the vacuum in the induction pipe never exceeds a certain amount. This amount is about 1.1lb and it is intended in this scheme that the 1.1lb would never shut off the oil at all, so that while the throttle is open, even at the highest working speed, there would never be a reduction in the oil supplied. The trouble with the present scheme is that it is possible to drive the car continually, using a full charge in the cylinders at low speeds without bringing in | ||
